Easy Chicken Bone Broth - Tastes like From Scratch!

Bone Broth has SO many benefits, but cooking it from scratch can be a hassle, and retail stuff isn't great. This recipe is the best of both!

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon Instant Chicken Bone Broth
  • 2 tablespoon Unflavored Beef Gelatin Powder
  • 2 Scoops Collagen Peptides
  • 1 L Store Bought Chicken Broth or Bone Broth The cheaper stuff in the Tetra packs, not the”artisan” stuff!
  • Seasonings, optional Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Herbs, etc - see post for details.

Instructions

  • In a medium pot, whisk together the bone broth powder, gelatin, and collagen peptides. I’ll generally add a bit of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder at this point - I just eyeball it.
  • Slowly add the liquid chicken broth, whisking as you go. If you let it form a thick paste, it reduces the chance you’ll end up with clumps.
  • Once all the chicken broth is added, bring JUST to a boil, over medium high heat. Remove from heat.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and any herbs / spices you like, to taste.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Once cooled to almost room temperature, leftover bone broth can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a day or two.
Reheat in the microwave, or in a pot on the stove.
